I am an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist based just a short walk from Watford Town Centre. I work both face-to-face and online via Zoom with individual adults and teenagers aged 16 years and above.
I have a Diploma in Integrative Counselling from The Minster Centre, Europe’s leading institute for Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I’m a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and all my work is guided by their ethical framework. I’m also a member of The Relational School. I hold a enhanced DBS certificate. Like all BACP members, I receive regular supervision with an experienced and qualified supervisor.
I have a longstanding interest in mental health, including how our early development and relationships shape our emotional lives and relationships as adults. Over the years, I have worked in a number of different mental health settings, ranging from local services to user-led and peer-focussed charities. These experiences have given me the opportunity to understand and work with emotional challenges from a highly diverse range of perspectives which continue to inform my work with clients.
As an integrative psychotherapist, my therapeutic practice and thinking are informed by a number of widely recognised approaches, including psychodynamic, relational and person-centred approaches. Above all, I believe that the relationship between therapist and client is what makes therapy such an important and effective catalyst for change.
If you feel I might be the right therapist for you, feel free to get in touch.
