Rebecca Sare (she/her)

I am an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist based just a short walk from Watford Town Centre. I work both face-to-face and online via Zoom with adults on a one-to-one basis.

I have a Diploma in Integrative Counselling, an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, and an MA in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from The Minster Centre, one of Europe’s leading institute for Psychotherapy training.

I’m a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and all my work is guided by their ethical frameworks. I hold a enhanced DBS certificate. Like all BACP and UKCP members, I receive regular supervision with an experienced and qualified supervisor.

I have a longstanding interest in mental health, including how our early development and relationships shape our emotional lives and relationships as adults. Over the years, I have worked in a number of different mental health settings, ranging from local services to user-led and peer-focussed charities. These experiences have given me the opportunity to understand and work with emotional challenges from a highly diverse range of perspectives which continue to inform my work with clients.

As an integrative psychotherapist, my therapeutic practice and thinking are informed by a number of widely recognised approaches, including psychodynamic, relational and person-centred approaches.  Above all, I believe that the relationship between therapist and client is what makes therapy such an important and effective catalyst for change.

If you feel I might be the right therapist for you, feel free to get in touch.
